Only After Dark

Only After Dark is a compilation LP compiled by Duran Duran sweeties Nick Rhodes and John Taylor, featuring a conglomerate of often over-looked late-70s early-80s punk and synth gems of which they both played as djs at the Rum Runner club in Birmingham, before Duran Duran took off.

Duran Duran, as were most new romantics, were highly influenced by a solid mixture of punk, funk and electronica and this compilation represents that perfectly. From early Simple Minds gem Changeling to forgotten wonders like original Ultravox frontman John Foxx's WW3 synth wonder Underpass, this is a truly unique and bizarre new romantic journey.

A download is impossible to find online, but the full tracklisting can be found here and all the songs can be tracked down on grooveshark.com and downloaded with Orton Downloader. Though, you should support the small people by going to your local record shop and tracking down all the tracks on 45 singles.

  1. I should really listen to these guys more often, I only have a few mp3's by them but nothing much, I will see if I can find any records or cd's by them on the market this weekend! Favorite song by them so far has to be Wild Boys though, I've always had great memory's because of that song!

You can download them here if you want!
You just need to make sure you have win.zip or win.rar on your computer to open the files!
